Sistema Obsoleto and SSIK 7”s
We waited until the day of lies to let you all know that we’ve got two new records available for preorder. First up is SSIK (School Sucks I Kwit) - a name only children could come up with and though they may not be the 17 year dropouts you are envisioning, they are made up from the younger side of people playing Hardcore Punk here. 7 tidy tracks of growing up wrong. The second is Sistema Obosleto with their raging brand of Hardcore Punk from Macedonia. If you like the sound of these recordings - the 7” sounds like a fuckin atom bomb.
Slow Death and Neon Taste are smiling like sharks to announce the debut 7" from SSIK. Hailing from Canada's California, Kelowna BC - SSIK execute any sentiment that Canadian Hardcore Punk has only devolved itself into boring, metallic gang idolatry and instead scream from the void to exorcise their own brand of alienation and dejection.
"Inferior Health" combines the Rock-ready antics of bands like FU's and The Freeze with the irreverent youthful excitement that keeps hardcore interesting 40 years on. This is not the same-old-genre-dance dolled up like every pig in the trough. There's gut and heart in here played with real conviction and chops. And just when you think you've got the whole thing figured out there's a flourish of guitar or a hook that breaks the rules before it gets back to business providing buzzsaw-backing to a vocalist trying to rip societies collarbone out it's chest. You can purchase on Bandcamp or right here in the store.
Hailing from Macedonia with vocals in Portuguese - hear now the maniacal debut from Sistema Obsoleto. Engaging the menacing energy of Anti Cimex these five tracks are a relentless barrage against all unjust without losing any of the sparkle and energy that keeps this kind of shit fresh.
The title "Esmagado Pela Engrenagem Capitalista" translates to "Crushed By The Capitalist Gear"and sets you up for what is to com: scathing indictments of gentrification, genocide and being out of step with the whole fucking world.
325 copies total. Black vinyl.
English translation lyrics included.
Ta for now, thanks for your support.
